The Homecoming

Episode 2 of Undeterred, the LOVB Originals two-part series, follows Olympic medalists Kelsey Cook, Lauren Carlini, and Jordan Thompson as they make their powerful return to the U.S. for the inaugural League One Volleyball (LOVB) season. From Madison, Wisconsin to Houston, Texas, and after competing on the world stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics, these athletes face the emotional and physical toll of elite volleyball—while finding strength in teammates, purpose in their journey, and pride in playing on home soil. Experience their highs, their setbacks, and the start of a new chapter in professional women’s volleyball.

Jordyn Poulter

Last December, 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist and "Best Setter" Jordyn Poulter suffered a devastating knee injury tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in her professional season. Jordyn has spent 2023 working hard to come back better and stronger.

Carli Lloyd

Carli Lloyd had just arrived in Italy for her 10th season overseas when she found out she was unexpectedly pregnant with her daughter Storm. She was given 24 hours before the news went public. Not only did she navigate these challenging circumstances with grace and poise, but she has also worked hard to remain one of the best setters in the world. Carli is undeterred. LOVB believes strongly that being top-tier athletes and mothers should be the norm. We are a league made for athletes, by athletes, to have more opportunities in every capacity.

Micha Hancock

Micha Hancock has accomplished everything you can imagine: 2 NCAA Championships with Penn State, AVCA National Player of the Year, and ultimately a gold medal in Tokyo. Even amid such incredible accomplishments, Micha shares her humanity, moments where she wanted to walk away, and how she pushed through to give everything she has. The next chapter: LOVB Houston Founding Athlete. Micha is undeterred.

Haleigh Washington

USA Volleyball star middle blocker Haleigh Washington has spent the last six years in Italy playing in one of the highest-level volleyball leagues in the world. When she's home in her offseason, she's training with the Women's National Team and traveling the world for international competition. Haleigh shares her love for the game, the sacrifices and challenges of being abroad for long periods, and her hope for the future with LOVB Salt Lake. Haleigh is undeterred.

Juliann Faucette

After becoming a single mom of three kids, Juliann Faucette didn’t know if she would ever play professional volleyball again. Then when she got a call from LOVB, that all changed. Watch Juliann’s story of triumph as she stepped back on to the court in LOVBs inaugural season, becoming not just inspiration to moms, but to all people who have had overcome challenges and obstacles while chasing their dreams.
