Trailing 2-0 in the 3rd period, Dallas picks up goals from Jamie Benn and Joel Kiviranta to force overtime against Vegas. Denis Gurianov finds the scoresheet at 3:36 of overtime for his 9th goal of the playoffs, sending the Stars to the Stanley Cup Final for the third time in Dallas history.

Mike Modano and Brett Hull each post 3 point nights to lead the Stars to a 4-1 at Colorado. Dallas ties the Western Conference Final at two games apiece on the strength of Hull's 2 goals and an assist, and Modano's 3 assists.

Ed Belfour picks up his second shutout of the 1999 playoffs, stopping all 34 Colorado shots for a 3-0 win over the Avalanche. Joe Nieuwendyk factored on all 3 Dallas goals, scoring himself in the 2nd period before assisting on 3rd period goals from Jamie Langenbrunner and Dave Reid.

Mike Modano and Sergei Zubov each have a goal and an assist, while Derian Hatcher adds 2 assists, as the Stars take a 4-2 win at home over Colorado to tie the Western Conference Final at one game apiece.

Stars Playoff History - Round 2, Game 7 - September 4, 2020

Joel Kiviranta notches the 3rd Stars hat trick of the playoffs, as Dallas wins a Game 7 thriller and eliminates Colorado. Kiviranta second goal of the game came with under 4 minutes to play in the 3rd period, a mere 10 seconds after the Avalanche had taken the lead. He then establashed his place in Stars lore at 7:24 of overtime to complete the hat trick and send the Stars to the Western Conference Final.

After 6 periods of gameplay, Brendan Morrow sends the Stars to the Western Conference Final with a goal 9:03 into the 4th overtime. With the game starting on May 4 and stretching beyond midnight, the moment became known as Cinqo de Morrow.

Derian Hatcher scores a goal in the first period and assists on Greg Adams winner in the third as the Stars win 2-1 to advance to the Western Conference Final. Ed Belfour ends the series with a .967 save percentage, having only allowed 4 goals over the 5 games against the Oilers.

The Stars pick up their second consecutive, and third overall shutout in their first round series against Vancouver. Mike Modano's first period power play goal would hold as the game winner thanks to goaltender Marty Turco's 21 save performance. Turco's shutout streak eventually reached 167 minutes and 5 seconds, setting a new franchise record.
