Like Father, Like Son

Star freshman wide receiver Caden Monk wears No. 34 — an uncommon number for his position. The number was worn by his father Justin Monk, a two-time state championship-winning linebacker for the Stephenville Yellowjackets who went on to join the Marines after a decorated high school career. Caden's father passed away due to complications with cancer in 2023 — so now Caden carries on his legacy by wearing his number and helping Stephenville to capture another state title in his first season.
