Alex Jean Glover
Sports analyst and former D1 athlete breaking down volleyball and the biggest stories across sports. Here, I bring insight from the athlete’s perspective with interviews, highlights, and behind the scenes coverage.
01:18LA Trip, But Make It Basketball
Trey’s in LA with the Knicks, and even though I don’t usually travel to away games, LA is one of my favorite places—so I made a whole trip out of it. I started the day with a Laguna Beach brunch to see my best friend (it’s been over a year!), then headed straight to Crypto for Knicks vs Lakers. I geeked out over the arena tech (no cashiers?? you just walk out and it charges you), watched the vibes, the Laker Girls, the halftime show, and did a little celeb-spotting while trying to catch glimpses of my man. Nostalgic, iconic, and I’m already hyped for the Clippers game day vlog next.
00:07Quick LA Check-In
Just a quick little “we’re here” moment—LA vibes, basketball weekend energy, and more content coming.
01:30MSG Gameday Vlog: Knicks vs OKC
It’s been way too long since I’ve seen Trey play, so come with me to MSG. I had a fitting earlier (plus goodies I’m excited to show), then I hit the family room first because I was starving—MSG burgers are elite. It was a huge game and the arena was LOUD from the jump. I was surrounded by some visitor fans (pain), grabbed a Coke at halftime because I’ve been exhausted lately, and the game stayed close the whole time. We lost by a couple points, then we headed to the practice facility to grab Trey’s stuff since he’d traveled earlier. West Coast trip incoming—stay tuned.
01:01Wellness Day at Alo With the Girls
Most of the Knicks guys were out of town, so we did a cute little girls wellness day. We shopped a bit, stashed our stuff in lockers, then did a group workout that absolutely kicked my butt (legs, arms, abs… I was DONE). After, we took pics, then went upstairs for IVs and facials. I’m terrified of needles but I did it anyway—vitamin cocktail IV and I genuinely felt so much better. We finished with coffee and a little yap session, then headed out.
00:05Women in Sports Chain
The audio is more vibe than VO, but the message is clear: I’m showing love to women in sports and joining the chain.
00:07Sideline Energy Is UNMATCHED
The transcript doesn’t give much VO, but the caption says it all: the stands + sideline energy is unreal, and I’m fully bought in.
00:18Volleyball Growth = My Dream Job
No VO here, but the post is me reflecting on volleyball’s growth and feeling so grateful to be part of it as an analyst.
00:14My Brain Always Imagines the Worst
The VO is minimal, but the concept is me joking about how my mind instantly goes to worst-case scenarios—even when I know everything’s fine.
00:14Another Night, Another Pro Volleyball Game
The audio is repetitive, but the vibe is: I’m on the job again, calling another pro match and living my analyst life.
00:06Broadcast Fit Check
The audio doesn’t describe the fit, but the post is clearly a quick “broadcast outfit” moment—my favorite day of the week.
01:39Netflix House Date Night + I WON
NBA All-Star break = date time. We went to Netflix House in Dallas and I didn’t realize how much was inside: arcade, food court, bar, show displays (Bridgerton!), and the Squid Game challenge. We got drinks, then competed in five challenges (yes, including red light/green light). They track your rankings, and I got THIRD… Trey got SIXTEENTH and stayed mad for two days 😭. We ended it upstairs playing arcade games (floor is lava, lots of two-player games), checked out interactive rooms like a Stranger Things escape room, and I’m already planning to go back.
01:36Taking Him to H-E-B for the First Time
It’s All-Star break, we’re in Texas, and I’m introducing him to H-E-B because Texans don’t play about this. We’re hungry, we’re filling the cart fast, and we leave with a FULL haul—like $300 worth. He’s side-eyeing the prices and I’m defending my beloved store with my whole chest.
00:10“She Is THAT Girl”
Short motivational-style clip celebrating a women-in-sports moment and that “that girl” energy.
00:13Long Distance WAG Life
Short clip—more feeling than details—about how fast time flies when we finally get time together.
00:42Same Workout Routine, Different City (Nutri-Grain)
I’m constantly bouncing between Texas and New York, but movement keeps me grounded. I’m obsessed with Nutri-Grain’s new crunchy bar—zero crumbs (major gym win), whole grains, fiber, and it doesn’t weigh me down. Today’s workout is simple: walking, stationary work, light-on-the-knees stuff, and lifting. Between sets I snack, finish strong, and that’s the routine: I’m always going to work out, and I’m always going to have my favorite snack.
01:43Top 5 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony Looks
I break down my top five: France (underrated, snowman-meets-space-suit in the best way), USA (Ralph Lauren, classic and clean with the colors in the layers), Haiti (hand-painted suits with deep meaning—controversy aside, final result was stunning), Brazil (Moncler puffers everywhere—even the hats—plus flag lining and black/white contrast), and Mongolia at #1 because it screamed prestige, culture, and luxury with cashmere/silk/wool inspiration from historic Mongol eras.
00:08I’m Locked In for Team USA
Quick hype post—minimal VO—basically me being aggressively Team USA and proudly tuned in.
00:17Student Athletes: POST THAT CONTENT
The transcript isn’t clear, but the caption is: if you’re a student-athlete, post your content—period.
00:27Knicks OOTD for an 8-Game Win Streak
I’m heading to MSG to watch Trey, so here’s the fit: coat, sweater dress, boots, bag, jewelry (including my engagement ring), and all the good luck vibes. Go NY go.
00:09Go NY Go Transition
Audio is just for vibes; it’s a short transition celebrating the Knicks energy.
01:22MSG vs Lakers: We Got the DUB
Big teams head-to-head, and I had to travel solo because plans shifted. I made it into the second quarter (classic me), but the energy was INSANE—every seat filled. At halftime I hit the family room, saw my niece (I’m obsessed), and stress-ate two plates because the day was chaos. The game stayed neck-and-neck, and I love how NY fans rally—it’s unmatched. I wore my glasses so I didn’t miss a detail, caught Trey on the floor, and it was extra nostalgic because he played for the Lakers last year so seeing old friends was special. Then coat rack, car home, done.
00:53First NY Winter Survival Vlog
It’s my first winter in NY and it’s hitting HARD, but I’m not letting it take me out. I forced myself to gym (major win), filmed a brand partnership, had a wedding planner meeting, watched That’s So Raven for nostalgia, and ended the night watching Trey’s game. The moral: I beat the winter worries today, and I’ll do it again tomorrow.
00:11Huge Fan of #50
Short clip, minimal VO—just me being loud and proud about Trey.
01:38Winter Scaries Are Real
We moved to NY for Trey and everyone warned me about seasonal depression—I brushed it off… now I get it. It’s dark, it’s cold, and I’ve barely left the apartment. My routine is gym → coffee → back home, and that’s it. I’m asking northerners for real tips: what gets you out of the house, what should I go do, and what restaurants should I try?
01:43DITL: Pro Volleyball Broadcaster (Season Opener)
I start the day with treadmill + quick ab workout, then a long walk with Bruno. I prep early, film campaign content, treat myself to Swedish candy, head to the arena, do the producers meeting, grab my credential, finalize notes, and then it’s game time. Seeing SMU fans in the building made me so happy, and calling the first franchise win was unreal. I went home, fed Bruno, did more content, and crashed—dream day.
00:23Coronation Day
The VO is basically the “For the First Time in Forever” vibe—short, playful hype for a big day.
00:11Wish Us Luck, Dallas Pulse
No VO, just a quick rally post before game/broadcast work.
01:13Family Travel Vlog: NY to San Antonio
I’m finally sharing this trip: the Knicks organized travel so family could be there for the Spurs game. I flew United first class out of NY for the first time (Delta first class is still better, I said what I said), landed, grabbed my bag, hopped in the car service, and we stayed at Hotel Emma—which Trey swears is one of his favorites and I get why. And yes… I immediately ordered Topo Chico because I missed home.
00:15Crying in Long Distance
Short emotional vibe post—little VO, big feelings.
01:27Another Knicks Gameday at MSG
It’s freezing in NY (Texas me is suffering), so we head into the city. I escort in through the tunnel, hit the family room, watch Trey’s shootaround and warmups, pray together before the game, then I do my unhinged tradition: coffee at night before tip. MSG is always packed no matter who we play, and the vibes were high. Halftime = heavy meal (lobster ravioli, steak, sushi… yes please), then we dipped quick because it was a back-to-back.
00:10He Never Stops Flirting
Audio is just vibes, but the concept is a cute relationship moment.
01:24Back in Texas: Spurs Gameday Vlog
Trey looks so good in all black, we watch the bus send-off energy from the hotel, then I get ready and meet the other girlfriends/fiancées for coffees. We take the family bus to the arena, I grab food (birria chicken quesadilla was a surprise 10/10), and yes… the Spurs family seats were far so I needed my glasses. Halftime potty break, baby race, NYE mascot outfit—cute. After the game, family bus back, quick hotel reset, then we ate from the team room and did chill NYE vibes.
01:42GRWM + How We Met (Yes, It Was the DMs)
I’m in a time crunch getting ready with the girls, but here’s the truth: it went down in the DMs 😭. Trey DM’d me after seeing a reel of me broadcasting volleyball in fall 2024. It was a slow burn because we wanted to be friends first and his NBA schedule made it hard. We started dating winter 2024 and got engaged end of summer 2025—so yeah, life can change FAST. Then I show the fit and head out: wish Trey luck, go Knicks, and pray for the men.
00:14San Antonio Hype
Music-led hype transition—little VO, big energy.
00:12One Talks Sports, One Lives It
Short couple post highlighting our dynamic—minimal VO.
01:24Christmas Day Gameday + Knicks Dub
Christmas game day at MSG: early walk, I made Trey breakfast, city felt extra magical, and he surprised me with matching print shirts. He led chapel, I hit the family room, grabbed family friends from will-call, and the celeb count was insane. Game started rocky so I took a nervous bathroom break (lol), then Santa showed up at halftime and I got all the cute videos with my niece. We came back from a big deficit, I re-applied lip gloss for luck, and MSG got SO loud when we won. Post-game pics, then we went home for a chill Christmas: lots of food + movies.
00:05Grinch Energy, Go NY Go
Short holiday vibe post—music-led.
01:23My First NCAA Volleyball Natty Experience
I take you through championship day in Kansas City: fit transition, arrived early, smiled ear-to-ear seeing how packed it was. I shadowed Christine Williamson and wore a mic pack to hear the behind-the-scenes comms, sat on set (best seat in the house), watched an incredible match, then witnessed Texas A&M make history. I’m so grateful and I can’t wait to see where volleyball goes next.
01:15Sphere: Wizard of Oz + NBA Cup Vegas
The Knicks took family to Vegas for NBA Cup, and I signed up for an activity: the Sphere (owner crossover makes it extra VIP). We watched Wizard of Oz and the effects were unreal—tornado felt real, leaves and apples flying, bubbles dropping, fire effects, monkeys flying… it was packed for a reason. 10/10, no notes.
01:00Curly + Cozy Gameday GRWM (Not Your Mother’s)
My hair finally dried so I can leave. We’re in Vegas for NBA Cup, so I get ready: shower, makeup, then hair refresh using Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk leave-in, defining cream, and activating mousse to fight Vegas dryness and frizz. I pick a cozy December outfit, head to the game, and wish the Knicks luck.
00:12Hats Off, Aggies
Audio isn’t clear, but the post is me celebrating A&M’s performance and how special it was to see it live.
00:14Natty Championship Loading
It’s a quick hype post building anticipation and asking for predictions.
01:02Pro Volleyball Media Day (Broadcast Team Edition)
This looks like my old athlete life… but I promise I’m not coming back to play 😭. I’m two years retired from D1 volleyball and now I’m living my media dream: color analyst for Dallas Pulse (first year in Dallas!). Media day surprised me—we did the full deal with photos and video, and I got major déjà vu from SMU days. It was extra special because some SMU teammates are on the roster. And fair warning: y’all are going to be sick of me this season because I will not shut up about volleyball.
02:38Natty Preview: It’s a Dog Fight
I talk A&M’s insane game planning—neutralizing stars, serving teams out of system, and blocking everything. Then Kentucky vs Wisconsin: I felt like Kentucky was a bit off early but their defense is unreal (Molly at libero is DIFFERENT). My pick has been Kentucky from the start, but it depends on which Kentucky shows up. If both teams play like semis, A&M wins. I’m leaning 55% Kentucky, 45% A&M because I think defense wins championships—but I’m not doubting A&M at all.
00:13Aggies Are THAT Girl
No real VO—more of a hype reaction post after seeing A&M dominate.
01:15NBA Cup Vegas Gameday
Knicks family trip to Vegas, so of course I’m there. We hit a free photo booth, then got seated because NBA Cup means money on the line—like real money. I explain the tournament vibe, how Knicks fans show up everywhere, and how tight the game was (I stress-ate chicken tenders and fries at half). I could only attend this one (vs Magic) because I had work, but it was a blast and I’m so proud of Trey and the team.
01:06Two Games in One Day
I start with prep + travel prep (I’ve taken 50+ flights this year balancing WAG life + work). Game 1: SMU vs Florida State—producer meeting, warmups, tech checks, intros, and SMU wins (alma mater, so I’m happy). Then I sprint home because Game 2 is coming, record PR hauls, and call Tech vs Houston from home (bonnet on, nobody knows). Survived. Traveling in 4 hours.
01:52Things I’ll Never Do Again as a Retired D1 Athlete
My never-again list: trap bar deadlifts + weighted pushups (trap tension PTSD), maxing out (why would I choose pain?), InBody scans (I used to leave crying), Fairlife/protein shakes (I swear they made us gain weight), Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (5am trauma), and running up and down a field until someone throws up. Retired life is peaceful—drop yours in the comments.
00:22Favorite Broadcast Fits
Audio isn’t descriptive, but this is a quick “fit ranking” style post.
01:30Behind the Scenes: Broadcaster in NCAA Chaos
This is a dream day: I start with a walk with Bruno, review film on the teams I’m calling, parents come by, then I get ready. Seeing my name on the credential made it real. I arrive, watch SMU practice, catch up with people, producers meeting, coffee setup, then Match 1: Rice vs Florida. Right after, we turn around FAST for Match 2: SMU vs Central Arkansas—SMU sweeps and makes history. Postgame pressers, home, edit, feed Bruno, devour sushi because I haven’t eaten in 12 hours, then prep for round two tomorrow.
00:18Full Circle: SMU History Night
No VO, but the caption clearly signals a huge SMU milestone and gratitude for being part of it.
00:13NCAA Round 2: Pick Your Side
Audio is hype, caption is the key: tune in and comment your pick (Pony vs Gator).
00:13Busy Calling Rounds 1 & 2
No VO—quick post emphasizing workload and tournament grind.
00:12Once a Pony, Always a Pony
Audio isn’t clear, but the concept is alumni pride + bracket talk.
00:11Another Broadcast Fit Transition
Music-led transition post.
01:21Friday Night Gameday DITL
Morning treadmill + calling Trey, walk Bruno, Starbucks + Chick-fil-A breakfast for energy, then to Dallas early for SMU vs Boston College. Producers meeting, downtime for bathroom/water/food, warmups, record intros, match starts, SMU sweeps fast, postgame presser help, then nails (because I deserve), Bruno outing, record a brand partnership, cook, edit, sleep.
00:08Volleyball Brain Spiral
Short comedic “volleyball stress” post with minimal VO.
00:09Gonna Miss These Transitions
No VO—just a short end-of-season feels post.
01:18NYC Day-in-the-Life: Brand Event + Knicks Game
We started early with the gym, then I met Anna downtown for a BODYARMOR event (we went to an Islanders game—freezing inside AND outside). We shot content on the bus and in the suite, ate, networked, and just enjoyed being spoiled at a brand event. After, we went back, saw baby Ace (obsessed), grabbed sushi, then headed to MSG for Trey’s game. He played so well, MSG was electric, we said hi after the game, then home.
00:16Prove Them Wrong
Very short motivational post—audio doesn’t add much beyond hype.
00:14Studio Feel = Different
Short behind-the-scenes vibe post—teasing a project with Big 12 Studios.
00:16UNT Game Nostalgia
The audio is more lyrical than VO, but the intent is clear: reflective post about being back around volleyball and feeling sentimental.
01:26DITL With My Reebok Smartwatch (Ad)
I check my sleep first (I don’t play about 8 hours), review notes, treadmill, then get ready for SMU vs Stony Brook (ESPN+/ACC Network). Campus is packed because of a football game, so I arrive early, watch another match before mine (tournament day), then I’m nervous so yes—I check my heart rate. I review rosters, watch warmups, call the match (SMU wins), then home by 4:30. I check weather on my watch before Bruno’s walk/jog (10k steps), bribe him with a treat, give him a bath (he hates it), shower, bed.
01:27Knicks Gameday in the Snow
It snowed right before we left but we still hit the gym and kept it moving. We went through the player tunnel, watched Trey’s warmups, prayed pregame, then I left MSG to grab coffee with Lexie because NY getting dark early has been messing with my energy. Back to the family room for food + niece time, then to the game—Knicks vs Grizzlies, and it was nostalgic because Trey played for them last year. Knicks got the win, Trey did postgame stuff, I got my on-court pics, and we headed out.
